Artist Statement

Cold wax and oil is a relatively new medium for me to be working. I am enjoying the sculptural quality of the medium and the ability to paint in layers. This painting is inspired by a photograph that I was able to take while crossing the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel on my way home from work one winter afternoon, as a passenger in my friend's vehicle. Thank goodness for good friends.
