The Slam Richmond Slam Team is part of the longest running slam organization in Richmond. Every year Richmond sends the Slam Richmond YOUTH TEAM (Slam Dominion) to the Youth Speaks - Brave New Voices Poetry Festival and often competes at the National Poetry Slam.
Though Slam Richmond is a poetry group, it is also a community group. All artists of any variety are welcome to participate in the open mic. Also, because it is a community venue every workshop and open mic in The Shop is FREE! This makes us premier because of the poetry, not the price.
