My images for the 2020 Biennial are pages from a picture book, Isabella & the Move Across the Hall, which I illustrated in collaboration with Richmond Young Writers� author Sunniyah Tucker. The story, a tender contemplation about an important relationship as it changes, speaks with eloquence to a universal human experience. Getting to know Sunniyah and making illustrations for this project expanded my narrowed quarantine world to joyous vision and insight.
