Artist Statement
There are multiple layers in my paintings. The vocabulary of my work is derived from the rough - edged shapes, textured surfaces, and assorted grids found in the urban environment, and from personal non-representational drawings. The central theme of my work is an exploration of tension and ambiguity that is ultimately resolved in each painting.
