Artist Statement

Known around Richmond's experimental music scene, Bill Porter has created a series of drawings and modified found imagery for this exhibition. These pieces are being worked into animations for future musical performances.

"I began drawing circles one day� Filling up a big circle with tiny circles. I was really anxious and it seemed that drawing calmed me� someone said 'That looks cool', so I kept doing it� over and over. So many circles." -- Bill Porter
