Dave Didra uses a painterly process to find a balance between the natural and man-made environment. Didra creates visual tensions between form and complementary colors with the use of pure hues, gestural line, and texture. Dave Didra states: "A sunrise may spark my inspiration during my morning commute but then an intense flow of traffic disturbs the tranquil setting. I explore these contrasting and conflicting elements of harmony and discord in my work." Dave is completing his Master�s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at VCU and is having his Thesis Exhibition at the Richmond Public Library concurrently in January.
